I wanted to take this time to reach out to you, and introduce our 2012-2013 Riles PTA Board in case you didn't have a chance to come by our table at Back to School Night.
If you do Facebook: Search Riles PTA, and send us a friend request. This is a great way to stay informed. Staying involved with your children's education and showing them you support their school is an important element in making sure they stay on the right track. Your PTA is here to help and support your children as well.
PTA Membership Drive: We have PTA membership envelopes in the office, your student's teachers may have some, you can email me and request an envelope, or you can find any plain envelope at home, write your members' names, telephone #, EMAIL (very important way we communicate), your student's name, and lastly their 2nd period teacher's name. Send this in with your $10 per member fee, and we will return your FREE goodies within a week or so through your student. Remember the membership drive ends Sept. 30th, and the 2nd period class with the most memberships will win a special treat. We are off to a fantastic start and the contest is very close!
Box Tops for Education Drive: Most of you should be familiar with this program from elementary school, and we wanted to remind you that we also participate in this great fundraiser at Riles Middle School. Last year we earned almost $1,000 FREE money from this program. So please remind your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family members to collect Box Tops coupons for you. Have your student turn them into their 2nd period teacher, and the class with the most will win a special treat. We have 2 contest periods going, the first half ends on Dec. 14th, and the second on May 3rd, so bring them in all year long. For more info. on this program, click here.
Quality of Life Card: This is a Free card you may request from the PTA or pick up in the school office. After you register it online, you show this card when you shop at Raley's/Bel Air/ or Nob Hill Grocery stores just before you pay. Whether you only use it a few times a year, or you shop there often, a percentage of your purchase is returned to the Riles PTA, and funds are used for student programs and activities.

Your Riles PTA is excited and looking forward to a great year, and with your help, we can make this the most successful year yet. If you are unable to join the PTA at this time, but want to stay informed, please email us with your information, and we will make sure you are added to our list. Also, if you are interested in helping out at any of our PTA events, please email us, and we will add you to the volunteer list.
Attached you will find our Husky Wear Order Form. We have all of the items in stock, except the polo shirts are on a pre-order basis, and if you would like to check them out and look at the sizes, they are in the school office.
Please return your order form with full payment, and we will get your gear back to your students within a couple of school days. If we run out, we are able to get back-ordered items within about 10 school days.
All of the hats are allowed to be worn on campus (not indoors), because they are Husky Gear, and the sweats are allowed to be worn in P.E.
These are all high quality items, and the clothing is 50-50.
