Serving 6th to 12th grade students, Antelope View Charter School uses an independent study program which also requires site-based instruction. Our site-based classes have a student-teacher ratio of about 20 to 1. (Compare that to area schools which have had to raise their ratios as high as 50 to 1!)
Classes for most students are held Tuesday through Friday. Middle schoolers attend from 8:25 to 11:45 AM. High schoolers generally attend from either 8:25 to 11:45 AM, or from 9:00 AM to 12:20 PM. When necessary, students may have to attend at other times for tutoring or make-up work.
Our students to meet with their Consulting Teachers for at least 1 hour every week, to facilitate personal attention with school work, and provide regular feedback on classwork and assignments.
We demand the best from our students, and require regular attendance and a strong work ethic. We require students to perform a good deal of work at home on a regular basis. See our enrollment page for more information.
