Happy Husky Day. As a reward for all students that have 100 merits, we would like to celebrate you during 1st period today. Your teacher will excuse you when we make the announcement later this afternoon. Please know that the teachers and staff members appreciate you all being safe, being responsible, and being respectful here at Riles each day. Keep up your hard work and positive attitudes!

Don't delay, order your yearbook today. Who doesn't want an All-Color Yearbook with pictures of everyone in the whole school. The deadline is January 31st to guarantee you will get one at the end of the year. Pick up your order form in the office or order online at jostens.com.

Are you planning an anti-bullying video with your friends? Do you have a positive message to share with the school? Have you asked any teachers or staff members to help or star in it too? We can't wait to see who creates some wonderful, positive videos to share with our school. Please talk to Mrs. Kent if you have any questions or ideas!

Pennies for Patients

Our school is thrilled to be participating in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's School & Youth Programs! Students who participated in Pennies for Patients raised nearly $28 million to fund breakthrough therapies to save the lives of blood cancer patients.

Funds raised through programs like School & Youth enable the discovery and delivery of therapies that improve the quality of life for patients. From 2000 through 2013, almost 40 percent of new anti-cancer drugs were FDA-approved for blood cancer patients -- more first-ever approvals than for any other group of cancers -- and many of these were advanced with funding from efforts like ours.

Please donate at school or through this link.

Mrs. Morris is the advisor for this fundraiser.
