Tomorrow is this Halloween. Students are allowed to wear their costumes and show their spooky school spirit. Costumes are subject to dress code rules and props (toys, capes, masks, blankets, etc) are not allowed. Don't want to wear your costume? Wear Orange and Black instead to show your love of the World Series winning team, The San Francisco Giants... or your school spirit. Either way you will earn you points for your 2nd period class.
Red Ribbon Week is a way to unite communities to take a stand against drugs and show intolerance for illicit drug use and their consequences. While it only lasts a week, what it stands for should last for your lifetime. It is estimated that more than 80 million people participate in Red Ribbon events each year. Remember to love yourself and be drug free.
The coat drive for our local girl scout troop is still going on in the main office. If you have a gently used sweatshirt, jacket, coat, or sweater, please bring it to the front office. Any families in need in our area will appreciate it.
We are so excited for the first home boy's basketball game today. Come watch our Huskies take on Antelope at 4 pm. Let's cheer them on to the start of a great season. Good luck gentlemen!
Send a boo-gram to your boo, your bestie, your favorite teacher, or even yourself. They are on sale during lunch. Each boo-gram is $1. Just write a school appropriate message on it. We will attach a piece of candy to it and deliver it tomorrow!
You've really been showing your spirit this week Huskies. You've been rocking the neon, hats, glasses, and PJs. Wear Orange and Black tomorrow if you don't wear a costume to show you say Boooooo to drugs. Don't forget that you are earning spirit points for your 2nd period class this week, in addition to showing your support for loving yourself and being drug free.
Pizza, pizza, pizza. Who doesn't love it. Encourage your parents to buy some from the Antelope Domino's tomorrow for dinner. Make sure you give them the form saying you're from Riles to earn some cash for us. Sounds like a win-win to me!
